Tiraspol, 22 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. On 20 June a Pridnestrovian delegation, comprising the country's leadership, public organisation members and Tiraspol administration officials left for Novosibirsk. The trip was initiated by the public movement «For Unity with Russia».
The trip's main goal is to sign a twinning agreement between Tiraspol and the main scientific and industrial centre of Siberia.
Today, Novosibirsk is one of the most fast-growing cities in the Russian Federation and, according to representatives of the Pridnestrovian delegation, both sides will benefit from the twinning agreement. Now specialists are considering the possibility of establishing trade ties.
«We have a very rich programme within a twinning agreement will be signed. We have already had several meetings at which Siberians said they are ready to provide great preferences to us, including sales premises. They are very interested in our goods," said the chair of the government, Pavel Prokudin.
The delegation also includes the leader of the Pridnestrovian Communist Party, Supreme Council member and co-chair of the movement «For Unity with Russia», Oleg Khorzhan.
According to the MP, signing a twinning agreement will give a good opportunity to Ptidnestrovian agricultural and industrial enterprises to discover Novosibirsk markets.
«This is very serious political support. I hope this will be very serious economic support for our republic, and our movement 'For Unity with Russia' will continue working in this area to strengthen ties between Russia and Pridnestrovie so that we finally live in the united country," noted Oleg Khorzhan.
Issues related to culture, tourism am sports will also be considered during the trip.
The Pridnestrovian delegation will spend several days in Novosibirsk. The programme includes visits to industrial enterprises and various official events. Later, the city's mayor, Anatoly Lokot, will pay a return visit to our republic.
