Tiraspol, 16 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A medical centre, which is located in the building of former Polyclinic No. 3 in 25 October St, is almost ready for inauguration.
President Yevgeny Shevchuk inspected the progress of works in the medical facility. In particular, he was briefed on a degree of the building's readiness for commission. Today, the centre's laboratory is completely ready for being put into operation; all equipment is installed and mounted; precommissioning works are currently under way; the preparation of medical rooms is nearing completion, the president's press service reports.
«The centre will offer laboratory diagnostics services. Only specialised doctors, who are not easy to find, will work here for the convenience of local residents. We have a rather powerful diagnostic base. This includes the latest ultra-sound and gastroscopic scanners, ophthalmologic equipment. In addition, certain surgical operations can be performed here," said the centre's head doctor, Andrey Panasyuk.
The list of unique and vital devices installed in the centre comprises several tens of items.
«We have one of the best equipment in the republic for diagnosing and treating otolaryngologic pathologies. The dentist's room will be equipped with an X-ray unit. It is supposed in the future to organise the work of a mobile medical team for providing services to all the residents of the city," noted Andrey Panasyuk.
According to him, the medical centre will host a day patient facility and offer such rare treatments as cryosauna. Patients will be able to make an appointment with doctors right at the record room, on the telephone or via the Internet.
Following the inspection, the president gave a positive evaluation of the accomplished works.
