Tiraspol, 8 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In May 2016, the head of state appointed Sergey Bobrov commissioner for the protection of entrepreneurs' rights under the President of the PMR. Today the head of the government, Pavel Prokudin, held a meeting with the business ombudsman.
The prime minister emphasised the government's readiness to cooperate and expressed confidence that such collective work «would contribute to prompt solutions to the existing problems," the government's press service reports.
«The government's policy, I believe, must be transparent and open so that businesspersons could make long-term projections. Of course, amid the global economic and financial crisis and budget deficit our capabilities are limited, but we hope, including with your involvement, to find the happy medium and help this sector of economy," underscored Pavel Prokudin, assuring Bobrov of his readiness to provide support and assistance in solving various issues.
As was noted by the ombudsman, he started his work by holding introductory meetings with public authorities and businessmen. He individually met representatives of big-, medium- and small-size businesses and established contact with the Council for the Development and Support of Small- and Medium-Size Business under the Government. According to Sergey Bobrov, a range of questions which are to be classified and solved have already been outlined.
«Small- and medium-size business should unite efforts. Many problems which businessmen face are systemic, which means it will be easier to solve them altogether," said the business ombudsman, adding that he intends to further work in this area.
One of the most sensitive and urgent issues for local manufacturers is the impossibility of our goods getting to the shelves of certain retail chains.
«Undoubtedly, the protection of both entrepreneurs and consumers' rights requires our common participation. The government is conducting an analysis to find out the reasons for refusal to sell local manufacturers' goods. Under present conditions it is important to protect those few who is trying to develop, without putting spokes into their wheels," underscored the prime minister.
Referring to the abolishment of scheduled inspections of entrepreneurs in 2016, the meeting participants touched upon a number of problems related, first of all, with businesspersons' own carelessness. In particular, some disreputable individual businessmen took the opportunity and stopped to pay their patent. According to specialists' estimates, patent payments to local budgets have decreased by 40%.
The meeting participants came to a common opinion about the necessity to jointly work on this issue and seek a solution.
«If we manage to create such a climate of a mutual understanding between the government and business, everyone will win. We are ready to meet you halfway, but you also observe the rules of the game," added the prime minister.
They also discussed rental payments, which amid falling incomes became an unbearable burden for many entrepreneurs. The head of the government proposed to work out some incentive measures which would prompt the owners of sales areas to reduce rental prices.
