Tiraspol, 11 May. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Today, a deputy healthcare minister, Alexander Gonchar, has met WHO Europe Regional Advisor on Sexual and Reproductive Health Gunta Lazdane and Moldova's coordinator of maternal and child healthcare programmes, Larisa Boderscov, the Healthcare Ministry's press service reports.
Alexander Gonchar has expressed gratitude to the guests, emphasising considerable intellectual and material assistance granted by the World Health Organisation to Pridnestrovie's Ministry of Healthcare.
«In the past years we have already seen the results of this aid. Ii is always very nice to meet WHO colleagues and discuss with them issues that could improve the quality of medical assistance," emphasised the deputy minister.
It is not Gunta Lazdane's first visit to Pridnestrovie. She has noted that a number of perinatal projects has already been successfully realised in the country. Now, when drawing up 2016−2019 programmes, it is necessary to study specialists' needs and requests and determine which spheres need further assistance.
«We have a lot of plans, and we have a lot to offer. We are eager to learn what is important for your medical facilities, what are the most acute issues in the sphere of reproductive health. It is easier to help when you have first-hand information," said Gunta Lazdane.
The WHO expert presented a schedule of events for the current year. It is planned to hold working meetings, trainings, seminars and conferences for Pridnestrovian specialists.
The next meeting, where more deliberate mid and long term cooperation prospects will be discussed, is scheduled for 19 May.
