Tiraspol, 10 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The President Yevgeny Shevchuk received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the RM Farit Mukhametshin. The Pridnestrovie's Acting Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatyev also participated in the meeting.
As the Presidential Press Office reports, during the dialogue special attention was paid to the current social and economic situation in the republic amid the global financial crisis and unilateral restrictions imposed by the neighboring countries. Yevgeny Shevchuk and Farit Mukhametshin discussed the questions concerning the activity of the Pridnestrovie's large industrial exporting enterprises. In particular, it was talked about the offers providing solutions to a number of technical problems in the light industry and to boost export of production by that enterprise category to the Russian Federation. «We've managed to work out the directions for establishment of new technical conditions in order that our producers could get offers from Russia," the Head of state noted.
Within the meeting, the sides discussed a perspective of Moldo-Pridnestrovian settlement in details. It was talked about the future dialogue at the level of political agents from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova, and also about the planned visit of intermediaries and observers of the negotiation process to the Republic of Moldova and Pridnestrovie. «We feel concern about lack of concrete results in the negotiations. During the today's meeting, we have discussed positions of the Pridnestrovian and Russian sides in detail. We are solid in approaches and we will continue talking about it with our western partners, voicing to the political agent in Chisinau the issues to be considered within the working groups, and generally within the negotiation process," Farit Mukhametshin told.
The Pridnestrovie's President and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation also discussed a wide range of the current issues concerning the bilateral relations development, implementation of humanitarian projects and organization of events devoted to the Victory Day in 2016.
The President Yevgeny Shevchuk expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Russian Federation and personally to the Russian President's Envoy for Pridnestrovie Dmitry Rogozin for continuation of the humanitarian project on financial support provided to the Pridnestrovian pensioners. «Despite the economic difficulties in Russia, in March we received the funds and allocated them to our pensioners. It is significant support. Pridnestrovian citizens are grateful to the Russian Federation for the support provided to them even in the challenging times," the President emphasized.
