Tiraspol, 5 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Prime Minister commented on some amendments adopted by the deputies of the Supreme Council in his interview to the First Priodnestrovian TV channel. He also told about the money withdrawn from the inducement fund of the Pridnestrovian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
«More than once we heard the talks that it wasn't revenge or settling of scores, but, nevertheless, I have to note that everything that concerns business trips of journalists, office supplies, soft furniture, down to brooms — everything has been cut down. And, in our opinion, it is counterproductive. We need to cut down expenses, but in this case gas, for example, is an operational need for ENG crews. And, in the same way, all articles with a word „President“ have been mercilessly cut down too. It concerns the Presidential Security Service, and the Presidential Reserve Fund, and business trips of the President, and so on, and so on», — the Prime Minister noted.
He reminded that a relevant service had been established not so long ago in the republic.
«I don't want to judge anybody. But it was possible to find some common ground. Now, we have a new Mass Media State Service, we have new people also in the senior staff of the television. Just give it some time, and we will build up normal, productive relationship which would satisfy everybody. Probably, they didn't want to wait, or maybe they acted from some other reasons," Prokudin told.
Also, the Prime Minister considers it wrong to reduce the financing of the defense and law enforcement agencies.
«Cuts in defense and law enforcement agencies are nothing but dangerous. Remember the latest statements by the Moldova's Defense Minister that it is needed to replace the peacekeeping mission of the Russian Federation with the UN troops, and that Moldovan troops are ready to repel any attack. So they keep discussing this point, the tension is whipped up. And we speak now: «Let's cut down financing of the military and security forces!” It is wrong fundamentally. The state which doesn't feed own soldiers will feed alien ones," - the Prime Minister emphasized.
He also placed greater focus on the decision of the MPs concerning the seizure of profit of the government enterprises.
«The same goes for one more important item — seizure of 70% profit of the state enterprises. Here, we must take a balanced approach to each enterprise. In order that it didn't turn out in the same way as, for example, to roads. We have been building them for so long, it is our pride because whencesoever you drive in our republic, you can see the difference with the naked eye — the roads at our neighbors are much worse than ours. But our situation can get worse by the end of the year. If we don't maintain everything we built before, it can fall into decay again. Of course, it is easier to maintain the existing roads, than to build new ones," he concluded.
