Tiraspol, 2 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. An amendment to the budget law providing for a rise in tax revenues from excise duties was approved by the parliament.
According to the relevant Supreme Council committee, excise duties will bring 63 million roubles to the budget.
It was noted, in the meantime, that in 2015 Ukraine put a ban on the transport of excisable goods through Pridnestrovie. As a result, Pridnestrovie has lost 500 million roubles in customs duties. According to the government, the amendment will only work if Ukraine lifts its ban on the transport of excisable goods. Otherwise, passing this income item is ungrounded.
«First, we must secure the delivery of excisable goods and only then include excise duty incomes to the budget revenues," noted the minister of finance, Irina Molokanova.
«It is impossible to include in the budget the means that depend on a decision by the Ukrainian government," agreed the minister of economic development, Dmitry Boltrushko.
According to government members, you cannot make a budget, hoping for Ukraine to lift its ban on the delivery of excisable goods. This is why the project proposed by lawmakers cannot constitute grounds for approving the budget.
Parliamentarians, in turn, proposed the government agree with Ukraine about the withdrawal of this ban so that this amendment could work. As a result, MPs cast 33 votes for this amendment to the budget law.
