SCC refutes information published by Moldovan media

1 / 1

The State Customs Committee of the PMR (SCC) has issued a statement, posted on its official website, on inadequate information published by RISE Moldova about the illegal delivery of apples and plums from Pridnestrovie to Russia.

The statement particularly reads: «Having inquired into the allegations actively disseminated by electronic media, the State Customs Committee of the PMR claims that the facts of exporting fruit to Russia in the volumes reported by the Moldovan media outlet have never occurred. Alvi Grupp SRL and Dufrimol SRL companies have never exported fruit from Pridnestrovie to Russia.»

Considering the embargo imposed by the Russian Federation in July 2014 on the import of Moldovan fruit and vegetables, these product items have been included in risk profiles by the SCC and their export has been kept under tight control. All agricultural producers from Pridnestrovie who supply their production to Russia must produce certificates of origin to Pridnestrovie's customs authorities."

The statement notes that the SCC has reliable information that in 2015−2016 only five agricultural companies from Pridnestrovie have exported fruit to Russia and there is no Alvi Grupp SRL or Dufrimol SRL among them.

The State Customs Committee of the PMR regards the reports published by RISE Moldova as deliberate misinformation aiming to blacken the image of Pridnestrovie and the country's customs service as well as to create a climate of mistrust in relations between Pridnestrovie and Russia.
