Tiraspol, 2 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Head of state Yevgeny Shevchuk received the cochairman of the Joint Control Commission from Pridnestrovie. Oleg Belyakov reported on the current situation in the Security Zone to the President," the Presidential Press Office reports.
«The situation in the Security Zone is controllable and is under control of joint peacekeeping forces», — Oleg Belyakov noted.
Also, the JCC cochairman from Pridnestrovie informed the Head of state on the beginning of regular rotation of the joint peacekeeping forces, including the military command, and on the appointment confirmation of the military attaché from the Russian Federation, the Dybossary military commandant and the military observers.
Yevgeny Shevchuk and Oleg Belyakov pu a special focus on the issues concerning the material and technical support of the Pridnestrovie's military contingent within the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.
«The material and technical support is at rather high level. All necessary standards are observed in the peacekeepers' garrisons," Oleg Belyakov stated.
At the same time, according to him, there are certain problems in the Pridnestrovie's peacekeeping component financing.
«The draft budget 2016 covering the relevant items concerning the salaries of the peacekeeping military personnel is considered in the Supreme Council today. The budget is at the consideration stage, it isn't still implemented, and this fact complicates certain categories of extra payments to the Pridnestrovie's peacekeepers," he told.
Also, the issue concerning the provocative actions of the Moldavan side against the Pridnestrovie's officials was discussed during the meeting. It is important to remind that, in December, 2015, the cochairman of the Joint Control Commission from Pridnestrovie Oleg Belyakov and then, on February 1, 2016, the Acting Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatyev were very intensively checked at the Kishinev airport.
«The agreement of 1992 provides the freedom of movement of people, goods and freights across all territory of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. Reasoning from this fact, the Moldavan side violates requirements of this document unilaterally. Breach of the earlier reached agreements raises certain doubts once again. So, is the Moldavan side negotiable in terms of the dialogue continuation between Pridnestrovie and Moldova these days? We count that the Moldavan side will understand finally that they do wrong, and then we will return to normal dialogue," Oleg Belyakov noted.
In the end of the meeting, the President Yevgeny Shevchuk set a number of the corresponding tasks.
