Vadim Krasnoselsky elected Supreme Council chairman

Tiraspol, 23 Nvovember. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The 6th Supreme Council has elected Vadim Krasnoselsky as its new chairman. He represents constituency No. 7. His candidacy was approved by a majority vote, with only one vote against. The voting was performed by open ballot.

The newly elected Supreme Council speaker noted in his speech that he intended to work constructively with MPs and all branches of power.

New members of the Supreme Council counting board were also elected today, including Alexander Korshunov (chairman), Oleg Leontyev and Vadim Levitsky.

Vadim Nikolayevich Krasnoselsky was born on 14 April 1970 in Dauria village, Chita region. He is of Ukrainian descent.

In 1993 he graduates form Karkhiv Missile Troops Military College and takes his degree in law at Pridnestrovian State University in 2002.

Since 1993 he serves in law enforcement agencies.

In 2003 he heads the Bendery Interior Affairs Department.

On 3 November 2006 he is appointed the first deputy interior minister of the PMR.

From January 2007 to 27 February 2012 he is interior minister of the PMR.

He is awarded the order For Personal Courage, 3rd degree medal For Honourable Service, medal For Military Merits, breastplate Honours Policeman and others.

He is married and has a daughter and a son.
