Representatives of nine gas-transport companies from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Pridnestrovie, Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Macedonia are arranging the schedule for preventive and repair works to be performed on the on the gas mains running in the Balkan direction for 2016. The corresponding protocols are going to be signed following this meeting.
According the deputy head of Russia's Gazprom department, Viktor Schedrin, such meetings are held each year. It is not the first time when the meeting takes place in Tirapol. «Traditionally, each year we meet in one of the countries. We were last in Pridnestrovie 7 years ago, and we were warmly welcomed here," he said.
He noted that the scheduled repair works helps to minimise gaps in natural gas transportation.
OOO Tiraspoltransgaz Pridnestrovie is a part of the global gas supply network. The capacity of the country's gas transportation system is about 100 million cubic meters of natural gas per day. The total length of gas mains is 360 km, whereas the length of domestic natural gas networks is 4,782 km.
This year Tiraspoltransgaz Pridnestrovie has reconstructed a 1.45 km sector of the Ananyev-Tiraspol-Izmail gas main by its own strength, without engaging foreign specialists. This task required the implementation of works in the Dniester flood lands and application of complex technological solutions and special machinery. All works were done properly and in due time. Thus, the company has confirmed one more time its deserved reputation as a reliable partner in the natural gas supply system of Russia's Gazprom.
