Today the acting minster of foreign affairs, Vitaliy Ignatyev met Oleg Bondarenko, head of cooperation programs with the armed forces within the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for Russia, Belarus and Moldova The deputy defence minister, head of educational work department, Nikolay Muntyan, and the head of the Defence Ministry medical department, Zhanna Isaenko, also took part in the meeting.
The MFA press office reports the parties also discussed the prospects for providing expert and methodological assistance to Pridnestrovie's Defence Ministry through the ICRC dedicated structures, in particular, in studying the international humanitarian law, supplying with academic books, and organising thematic seminars and trainings.
The parties expressed desire to continue cooperation on urgent issues of mutual interest.
