The exporting enterprises have faced a decrease in release prices for their products. This is due, first of all, to the national currency depreciation in the countries Pridnestrovie has business ties with.
«Contracts are agreed in the national currencies of the countries we trade with. If we produce the same amount of goods in physical terms as before, in terms of money the amount is halved due to devaluation," said the minister of economic development, Alevtina Slinchenko, on Radio 1.
According to her, the decline of production was detected back in April 2014, but owing to unfavourable foreign economic factors the situation has worsened.
«This year Elektromash has produced twice as many products as last year. But the value of the currency of its major trading partner — Russia — has also halved. So the enterprise's loss has increased in the aggregate," clarified the minister.
She underscored that the negative factors are intensified by bureaucratic pressure on the part of Moldova, which imposes new restrictions on Pridnestrovie's economic agents. Since 2006 the republic's exporters are bearing the burden of double taxation. The industrial enterprises have to get Kishnev's permission for production and exporting.
«Until this year the enterprises had also to pay customs and ecology duties. Fortunately, as a result of negotiations these duties have been revoked," said Alevtina Slinchenko.
Since the beginning of 2015 the enterprises had difficulties with exporting their products to Russia because they couldn't get phytosanitary and veterinary certificates from Moldova's corresponding authorities. According to the minister, Moldovan officials explained it by Russia's embargo. Besides, Moldova changes from time to time the conditions for licensing raw materials exports and production. Under such circumstances Pridnestrovie's enterprises bear additional costs.
In the condition of hybrid pressure, the most adequate strategy, according to Alevtina Slinchenko, is to maintain export markets and labour collectives in spite of losses.
«We must maintain markets, otherwise it will be impossible to get them back, and we lose the enterprises," said the minister.
