After hours-long negotiation, the sides managed to compromise and approve the session agenda
«Unblocking of JCC work is the next sides' compromise which was reached to continue the discussion on various issues, including seizure of weapon, downbedding of military units in the Joint Peacekeeping Forces Headquarters and many other things," the JCC cochairman from Pridnestrovie Oleg Belyakov emphasized in his interview to journalists.
The question concerning the freedom of movement in the Security Zone was the first item on the approved agenda. The sides presented their ideas on the solutions of this issue, however the delegations still had serious disagreements in a number of aspects. For example, it is not clear now what aspects concerning the movement freedom should be within the competence of the JCC and the peacekeeping operation.
During the today's session, the Moldovan side accused the PMR side of law enforcement staff reforming in the Security Zone in 2014. Oleg Belyakov emphasized that such pointless announcements are untenable, because the Moldovan side made the same changes in the structure of its staff in 2013.
«More than 20 years, there wasn't any reforming and modification of staff structure. Constructions on the checkpoints became shabby, service conditions became intolerable, however the law enforcement agencies carry out their duties in full as before. So, due to these facts, it is naturally that the Pridnestrovie's side reformed and created normal service conditions for the law enforcement in the Safety zone," the head of the Pridnestrovie's delegation noted.
