Nikolay Babilunga: Russia should bring the issue concerning the blockade against its peacekeepers in the UN Security Council

This mission has the international mandate, the expert reminded

The head of the National History Department of the Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University professor Nikolay Babilunga made a comment for Novosti Pridnestrovya news agency on the Verkhovna Rada's decision concerning the denunciation of contracts with the Russian Federation in the field of military cooperation and emphasized, by doing that, Ukraine actually refused to maintain the peacekeeping mission on the Dniester. In fact, Ukraine impedes its functioning in every possible way.

«Unfortunately, the situation changes for the worse rapidly. I suppose that the leadership of Moldova and Ukraine has common bosses that's why they have found common ground so easily. Together, they try to make situation in Pridnestrovie absolutely unbearable," the expert considers.

In his opinion, they try to involve Russia in the armed conflict.

«Why do Americans do it? The aim is to involve Russia in the conflict, but they cannot succeed. So, they want to engineer an attack against the Russian peacekeepers. Now, besides digging a ditch, Ukraine pulls its major end military items in there. However, Russia will have to defend its peacekeepers and its citizens in case of aggression," Nikolay Babilunga summarized.

The expert voiced an opinion that Russia had to bring the issue concerning the blockade against its peacekeepers in the UN Security Council because that mission had an international mandate.
