Moldova's delegation tries to amend JCC regulations

According to Pridnestrovie's representatives, Kishinev wants to change a peacekeeping operation format

Moldova's delegation in JCC sent a message, appealing to change the JCC regulations, to the governing body of peacekeeping operation. According to the Pridnestrovie's side, thereby the Kishinev representatives want to destroy the guidelines of the peacekeeping operation.

«These regulations have satisfied everyone for 23 years, work of the JCC have been always based on these regulations, and today, according to the Moldovan side, it is necessary to reconsider the fundamental documents," the head of Pridnestrovie's delegation Oleg Belyakov explained at the end of the JCC session.

Also, the head of the delegation noted the unwillingness of Moldova's negotiators to find common ground. In particular, the Russian delegation in JCC made a number of offers aimed to unblock the commission's work today.

«Today, the Moldova's side introduced 4 candidates for confirmation by the JCC members and the experts; in total there are 10 unconfirmed officials. The Russian side offers to confirm everyone who should enter upon their duties," the interviewee of the news agency told.

The Russian side also proposed a solution in respect of the JMC (Joint Military Command) reports.

«If we convene a special session on an organizational issue, there won't be any protocols at all. It will be favorable for the Moldovan side to render the situation alleging that the JCC works only in the emergencies. After that the question of peacekeeping operation efficiency will be raised," Oleg Belyakov summarized.
