Today Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University (PSU) hosted a meeting of Russia's State Duma deputy Alyona Arshinova with university students. The Pridnestrovian youth, in the first place, were interested to know the Russian leadership's opinion on the situation around Pridnestrovie. Alyona Arshinova assured them that Pridnestrovie's subject was always on the agenda in Russia.
«We know what difficulties Pridnestrovie is facing. I know that the republic's leadership does much in the international arena and in cooperation with Russia is trying to address many humanitarian issues, social and household problems which emerge through no fault of Pridnestrovie, but because of the intentional isolation of the republic," said the MP.
In addition, issues relating to the system of education in Pridnestrovie were also touched upon. The deputy reminded the students that she was also a PSU graduate and, therefore, was closely following the university’s development.
«Together with Pridnestrovie's leadership and university authorities, we are working through the main challenges we are facing today," she underscored.
