Using and advocating Nazi symbols in Pridnestrovie liable to administrative sanctions

The corresponding law has been signed by President Yevgeny Shevchuk

Advocating or demonstrating in public the Nazi attributes or symbols, or attributes or symbols confusingly similar to the Nazi attributes or symbols, or attributes and symbols of extremist organisations, or other attributes or symbols shall be liable to either an administrative sanction ranging from 10 to 20 times minimum wage with the confiscation of items constituting a direct object of the administrative offence or administrative detention for up to 15 days with the confiscation of items constituting a direct object of the administrative offence. Authorities shall be liable to a fine ranging from 10 to 40 times minimum wage with the confiscation of items constituting a direct object of the administrative offence; legal persons are liable to a fine ranging from 100 to 500 times minimum wage with the confiscation of items constituting a direct object of the administrative offence.

Citizens producing and selling the above-mentioned attributes and symbols shall be liable to a fine ranging from 10 to 25 times minimum wage with the confiscation of items constituting a direct object of the administrative offence; authorities shall be liable to a fine ranging from 20 to 50 times minimum wage with the confiscation of items constituting a direct object of the administrative offence; legal persons are liable to a fine ranging from 200 to 1,000 times minimum wage with the confiscation of items constituting a direct object of the administrative offence.

The present law shall come into effect 14 days after the act «On perpetuating the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941−45» comes into force.
