Evgeny Shevchuk discussed the republic's social and economic situation with the Government

The highest priority was given to the difficulties of the Pridnestrovie's enterprises

It was noted during the meeting that generally there's a difficult economic situation in the region. There are objective external factors and instability in the traditional markets for Pridnestrovie; as a result, it is also observed the demand slump for the Pridnestrovie's production and also the continuing blockade of the Pridnestrovie's economy. All this affects the state budget revenues greatly.

"The Government monitors the situation in foreign markets every week to make a more detailed forecast on the revenues to the budgets of different levels," the Prime Minister Tatyana Turanskaya told.

The President was reported that according to the analysis results the majority of the large industrial enterprises reduced their outputs. Some economic agents become financially unprofitable; they decide to shed jobs and plan to freeze their activity.

The Government decided to render additional aid to the enterprises according to the Plan of Certain Extra Measures Aimed to Stabilize Social and Economic Situation in Pridnestrovie. Also, the President was reported that the gas price will be reduced for a number of the industrial enterprises from April 1 till October 1 of this year. The reduction will amount to about 10 USD. It will concern the enterprises making their own industrial production with the sales revenue not less than 70%. It will also concern the republican business enterprises as well as the municipal business enterprises with the government and municipal stake not less than 50%.

The Prime Minister hoped that the support measures for the enterprises won't become as something-for-nothing, because the economic agents will improve their efficiency and keep it at the high level, the President's Press Office reports.

The President assessed the Government's decision positively.

"As before, we need to make more efforts to support population's employment. It is a very important aspect of our domestic policy and social stability," Evgeny Shevchuk emphasized.

Also, the support measures for the domestic manufacturers were discussed during the working meeting. The Government expressed concern due to the low interest of the republic's trade networks in the Pridnestrovie's production and plans to continue the monitoring. If the situation doesn't change, the supporting policy for such economic agents will be revised. The President noted that it was important to support the domestic manufacturers especially in the conditions of the economic crisis.

Today, the Head of State was provided with the latest information concerning the budgets implementation. "The republican and local budgets received 35% of revenue less as compared to the similar period of last year. It makes impossible to satisfy all state obligations entirely.

"At the same time, marginally we've managed to meet the obligations in such expenditure items as food, medicines, fuel for the ambulance, the fire emergency, the district police officers, the patrol and inspection service," Tatyana Turanskaya reported.

Within a working meeting, there was also discussed an order for the extra payments to the Pridnestrovie's pensions from the means of the Russian humanitarian aid. It's important to recall that the latest tranche was allocated to Pridnestrovie last week; the transferred amount will cover the payments in the first half of 2015.

"The extra payment amounted to 165 rubles in 2014, now it is 100 Pridnestrovie's rubles. Due to the fact that the financial aid is transferred in the Russian ruble, and the Russian ruble was devaluated, it is impossible to keep the payment size in Pridnestrovie's rubles at the last year's level. We have insufficient funds for this in the republic," the Prime Minister Tatyana Turanskaya told.

It was noted at the meeting that the Government took steps aimed to support the vulnerable groups of the population due to the difficult social and economic situation. In particular, the decision concerning the decrease of tariffs for the electricity, the heat and the gas supply by 7% was made.

Tatyana Turanskaya also reminded that the Government had decided to continue paying full pensions to the participants of the Great Patriotic War and to the disabled people of the first category.
