Some Russia's regions are interested in Pridnestrovie's agricultural products

The question concerning the inclusion of the Pridnestrovie's enterprises into the Russian import substitution program was discussed in Moscow

At the meeting the representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) and the Pridnestrovie's Economic Development Ministry discussed the further activity of the Pridnestrovie's industrial enterprises within the Russian import substitution program (initially, it was supposed to include only the enterprises located in Russia). Soon, the Industry and Trade Ministry of the Russian Federation will receive the list of the Pridnestrovie's economic agents already exporting their production to Russia. The list will also include the enterprises planning to do it in the next two years.

"A certain range of products, possible consumers or partners will be specified there; and we will work in every direction and with every enterprise further. We received support and assurances of continuous work with our enterprises from our Russian colleagues," the Economic Development Minister Alevtina Slinchenko told during the Economy in Details talk show on the Pridnestrovie's First Channel.

She also told that some Russian regions are already interested in the Pridnestrovie's production as a result of the cooperation memorandum signed last year between the Russian Federation and Pridnestrovie. For example, the representatives of the Arkhangelsk region visited the Kamenka Canning Factory today, and they tomorrow will estimate the production of the canned baby food, the poultry- and meat-processing plants. "There is a certain interest in our production, and we hope that these trips will result in the real cooperation contracts," the economic department's chief emphasized.

"Besides, it's reasonable to work with the northern enterprices, as there are other prices. So in theory, we've chosen the right course," the chairman of the Supreme Council's Economic Policy, Budget and Finance Committee Oleg Vasilaty added.

The question concerning the future of the heavy industry enterprises was raised at the meeting in Moscow, and particularly the issue concerning the Elektromash plant which could be the first to face possible consequences of the import substitution. "As a result, our leading consumers began to give preference to the enterprises located in the Russian Federation rather than the old partners with whom they have cooperated for years. For example, the JSC Transneft has already formally notified us that one of the new terms for the further Elektromash's product delivery to Russia (95% of all production is delivered there) should be the siting of the facilities in Russian Federation's territory," the enterprise's Director General Vladimir Trandasir told.

He noted that some kind of a roadmap for the further cooperation had been worked out at the meeting with the Russian MIT's representatives. "We discussed how to inform ours consumers that we were involved into the import substitution program and that we would cooperate with them further. I think that our practice in such cooperation will be adopted by the other Pridnestrovie's enterprises," Vladimir Trandasir emphasized.
