"Much time has passed since your last visit in August of the previous year. Unfortunately, there were also the issues raising the misunderstanding between us. We are interested in the extension of our traditional contacts and cooperation. We would like the dialogue with the Ukrainian party to be comprehensive. On this occasion, I'd like to thank our colleagues from the Ukraine's Embassy, as we have always been in a close contact with them. It is the essential matter despite those challenges arising in our cooperation," the Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski told.

"I think that we can discuss them in details today. The negotiations haven't been so extensive since the beginning of this year. Of course, we keep in touch with all participants of the "5+2" format, but we hope for the better efficiency. I'd be glad if could exchange our ideas on this issue today," Nina Shtanski told at the beginning of the meeting with Andrey Veselovsky.

In her opening remarks, she also mentioned the situation in Ukraine and noted that the Pridnestrovie's people were worried about the events there. "We hope that the situation in your country will be stabilized as soon as possible, and the Minsk agreements will become a firm basis for the peace, consent, stability and wellbeing. The Pridnestrovie's people keep close tabs on the events and empathize sincerely," the head of the Pridnestrovie's foreign policy department told.
