According to the deputy chief of the Transport and Road State Service Elvira Bekhta such amount was computed by the department's experts
The kilometerage of the public roadways amounts to 4072.5 km in Pridnestrovie.
"The main roads deteriorated by 60% due to the annual finance insufficiency budgeted from the road fund for reconstruction, construction and renovation of the public roads and the street and road network; the republican roads – by 65%; the local roads – by 75%; the street road network – by 70%," the deputy chief of the Transport and Road State Service Elvira Bekhta stated at the collegium.
According to her, on national average, 800.8 thousand Pridnestrovie's rubles were spent for 1 km republican road renovation last year (against 506.7 thousand rubles in 2013). The renovation of 1 km street road network took 709.2 thousand rubles (819,8 thousand rubles - in 2013).
18,5 thousand rubles were spent for the maintenance of 1 km state road in 2014, and about 8 thousand rubles – for the municipal roads. "The state service's experts computed the amount needed to mend the roads. About 83 mln USD are needed to mend the state roads and about 79 mln USD – for the municipal roads, that is approximately 2 billion rubles in total. The money required for the road and street maintenance amounts to about 500 mln rubles a year," Elvira Bekhta summarized.
