The ambassador told about the humanitarian and educational projects planned for the upcoming period
The Deputy Prime Minister on the International Cooperation, the Foreign Affairs Minister Nina Shtanski received the British ambassador in Moldova Philipp David Batson in the MFA today, the Foreign Minisrty’s Press Service reports.
Nina Shtanski highly appreciated the current development level of the Pridnestrovian-British cooperation and noted the steps taken by the British Embassy in the healthcare, culture and sport areas. “We have carried on the constructive dialogue during the latest years. The number of important common projects has been implemented during that time,” the head of the Foreign Ministry emphasized.
In his turn, the ambassador told about the projects planned for the near-term period in the humanitarian and educational areas and hoped that young people from Pridnestrovie would take part in them.
During the meeting Nina Shtanski also emphasized that it was important for Pridnestrovie to support the international community in searching for solutions in such burning issue as tuberculosis response. She reminded that the British party had helped in this sphere in 2013 and also added that the cooperation with the international organizations on this issue would be continued. In his turn, the ambassador said that the British Embassy was ready to render assistance in this area.
The parties touched upon several aspects of the current negotiation process situation between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. Nina Shtanski highly appreciated that the British Embassy pays attention to the today problems of Pridnestrovie.
