The President’s Press Service reports, Evgeny Shevchuk received the USA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary William Mozer who finishes his work in Moldova. The diplomat arrived in Pridnestrovie with a farewell visit. Notably that William Mozer was appointed for the Ambassador of the RM position on September 21, 2011.
The Pridnestrovie’s President Evgeny Shevchuk emphasized during the meeting that it was important for Pridnestrovie to build open and constructive relations with the representatives of all countries. “We hope that the new USA ambassador will take interest in the Pridnestrovie’s situation. We are ready to cooperate and to exchange our ideas,” the President noted.
They also talked about the programs implemented in Pridnestrovie with the U.S. Embassy of Moldova assistance. These projects concern humanitarian and cultural spheres and agricultural sector. The parties hoped that the achieved cooperation level will be preserved and expanded in the sectors of mutual interest.
William Mozer informed the Pridnestrovie’s President that his successor Ambassador James D. Pettit plans to commence his duties at the end of this month.
