Special attention was given to the current social and economic situation in the republic under the influence of external factors, reports the president's press service.
A number of questions concerned the relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. Yevgeny Shevchuk focused on Pridnestrovie's commitment to the previously chosen "small steps tactics" aimed at enhancing socio-economic situation. The president also underscored that the optimal variant of settling the conflict is the way based on citizens' will.
During the interview, issues relating to the blocking of Pridnestrovie's economy and creation of artificial obstacles by neighbouring states were touched upon. There was talk of the impact Ukraine's events are exerting on the activity of Pridnestrovie's economic agents.
In the course of the interview, attention was also paid to the prospects of the international recognition of Pridnestrovie as a sovereign independent state.
