Tatyana Turanskaya: We must acknowledge unprecedented practice of unconstructive actions by Moldova

This was voiced by the chairwoman of the government in the "From the First Person" programme on Pridnestrovie's First Channel when commenting on criminal proceedings against Pridnestrovian authorities

"70 criminal proceedings have been initiated up to date against officials, including me," said the head of the government.

Tatyana Turanskaya recalled that Moldova and Ukraine were employing destructive measures against Pridnestrovie's agricultural producers. Moldova refused to issue phytosanitary certificates to them, which does not permit them to export their production to Russia and results in the loss of markets. The movement of cargoes through the Ukrainian territory to Pridnestrovie's economic agents was blocked. The Ukrainian authorities demanded original certificates of registration in Moldova, which puts the work of Pridnestrovie's enterprises in jeopardy.

"As a result of numerous sanctions Pridnestrovie's economy has not been developing, but merely surviving since 2006. The economic losses have made about 200 million USD in this period," underscored Tatyana Turanskaya.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is making efforts to settle the existing foreign economic problems, to inform the international community and participants of the negotiation process.

"At the same time, the fact that the Russian Federation remains the main strategic partner of Pridnestrovie, guarantor of peace and stability is very important for us," concluded Tatyana Turanskaya.
