The ban applies to live animals, meat and meat by-products, oil seeds and fruits, grains, medicinal plants, straw and fodder, fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin, residues and wastes of food industry, as well as animal feed
Due to the unfavourable epizootic situation, the State Customs Committee (SCC) informs economic agents about the prohibition to import the products which are subject to veterinary and sanitary control if they are imported from the territories of Ukraine's Chernigov region, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
The full list of products which are subject to tightened control is available on the information stands at inland customs offices and customs checkpoints.
The SCC's press service announces that the import of the above mentioned products produced in other regions of Ukraine is allowed only with proper documentation issued by Pridnestrovie's chief state veterinary inspector or an authorised veterinary expert according to the acting legislation.
The SCC notes that the current prohibition shall be effective with regard to legal relations arisen prior to 21 October 2014.
