That was stated by the Russian vice-premier, special envoy of the Russian president on Pridnestrovie, Dmitry Rogozin, after the meeting commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Iasi-Kishinev operation
"I want to say we have never seen such a wide scope of sincere celebration as we see in Pridnestrovie. That fact gives hope that it is here, in Pridnestrovie, the memory of the Great Patriotic War and the victims laid on the altar of victory will never vanish and will root in the younger generation of Pridenstrovians," said Dmitry Rogozin.
According to him, Russia hopes a patriotic generation will be brought up in our republic, ready to fight for peace on their land, for their culture, "and what is more, ready to fight even when the isolation of Pridnestrovie is getting tougher."
"We see that many Pidnestrovian citizens are not allowed to travel abroad. Ukraine has dug a ditch, whose purpose is impossible to understand. But nobody has the right to forsake our compatriots today. This is why Russia is here, and we won't stop coming here and working with Pridnestrovie's leadership. Russia will fulfil its obligations as a peace guarantor to a full degree," underscored the Russian vice-premier, adding that if the peace is disrupted, "it will have grave consequences for aggressors."
