Bendery, September 12. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. During the regular meeting of the governing body of the peacekeeping operation, the report of the Joint Command on a situation in the Safety zone was taken into consideration. The situation was recognized as stable and controllable.
«A situation in the Safety zone is controlled and operated. Military observers left on calls on detection of explosive objects. This information was recorded in the report of the Joint Military Command», - the representative of the Pridnestrovian delegation in the JCC Vasily Vakarchuk noted.
He told that the parties once again could not agree on the agenda of JCC meeting. The Moldavian side has insisted more than 4 months on the discussion of border service object near the village Pohrebea of the Dubossary district.
«The Pridnestrovian side is not against the discussion but demands military observers to fix the existence of a post. All the rest will be within the discussion of the JMC report», - Vasily Vakarchuk explained.
He reminded that earlier from the Pridnestrovian side a boundary post in Pohrebea was established, however further according to the solution of the JCC there served only the staff of migration service. In May of the current year, President Vadim Krasnoselsky signed the Order «About the measures directed to optimization of public authorities’ activity at the control at checkpoints through the PMR frontier». According to the document, functions of migration service staff on checkpoints were transferred to frontier guards.
