Tiraspol, January, 12. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Young pupils of the Tiraspol sports school №3 Egor Lashkin, Anna Varyokha, Rostislav Keller, Diana Tuktamysova, as well as Anna Petrenko and Vasily Naidich took part in the Moldova Blitz Championship, which was held in Chisinau. Time control: 3 minutes for a game + 2 seconds for each move.
In a men's tournament, 10 chess players with the highest rating and four best players in the semifinals reached the final.
15-year-old Egor Lashkin won first place in the semifinals, having beaten 38 competitors. His result is 8 points out of 9 possible. In the final, Pridnestrovian athlete had to fight with grandmasters and international masters. He bypassed some of them, including grandmaster from Bendery Vladimir Hamitsevich. As a result, a young chess player occupies the 6th place in the standings. He scored 7 points out of 13 possible.
There are Viktor Bologan, Sergey Vedmedyuk and Dmitry Svetushkin are among top three winners.
In women's tournament played 17 chess players. The winner was Svetlana Petrenko. 12-year-old Tiraspol resident Anna Varyokha took the 5th place. She was awarded a diploma and a cash prize.
