NEW CHIEF OF THE JOINT PEACEKEEPING FORCE JOINT STAFF WAS APPOINTED

Bendery, December, 20. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. At the last JCC meeting, the new Chief of the Joint Staff of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces was appointed. It is the Colonel of the Russian Federation Armed Forces, Sergey Safronov.

Earlier this post was held by Vitaly Morozov.

“JCC expressed its gratitude for his (Vitaly Morozov) military work here, on the Dniester banks, to maintain peace in the Security Zone” - Oleg Belyakov, co-chairman of the JCC from Pridnestrovie said in an interview with Novosti Pridnestrovya.

Also today, there was heard and noted the report of the military command on the situation in the Security Zone.

“JCC raised a number of issues related to the activities of law enforcement agencies, military commanders, as well as the headquarters of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces. We discussed all those issues, but for a number of them no final decision was made. But in general, the constructive work of the commission is still preserved” - the co-chairman added.

The parties did not reach consensus on the date of the pre-New Year detour and congratulations to the peacekeepers. This issue will be considered in the near future.
