Tiraspol, 3 April. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovie supports the idea of holding negotiations on the Moldo-Pridnestrovian settlement in the "5 +2" format in Rome this May, Pridnestrovian President Vadim Krasnoselsky told RIA Novosti.
Last week the special representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office on the Pridnestrovian settlement Franco Frattini invited the participants in the negotiations to hold a "5+2" meeting in Rome in May.
"We do not object to the idea of holding a meeting in the "5 +2" format in Rome. If there is an agenda, of course, the meeting will be organised. As for the timing - this is what the format participants should decide. We are ready to meet in April and in May and in June - the main thing is that the agenda should be outlined," he said.
Earlier, at a meeting with Franco Frattini on 27 March, the Pridnestrovian president outlined among the topical items on the negotiating agenda the issue of neutral license plates, the lifting of the blockade of Pridnestrovian banks, the settlement of issues related to rail traffic and the termination of politically motivated criminal cases.
"All issues are solved only under one condition - compromise reached by the parties. I support Mr Frattini's position, which is based on compromise and peacefulness in solving any problems. Our opinions completely coincide in this respect. I think that with this symbiosis of opinions a positive result will be achieved," said Vadim Krasnoselsky.
The president also announced he would hold talks with Moldovan President Igor Dodon in Bendery in late April.
"This meeting will take place at the end of April this year. It will be held in Pridnestrovie, in Bendery," said Vadim Krasnoselsky.
