Tiraspol, 9 October. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. President Vadim Krasnoselsky discussed with the member of the General Board of JSC Business Russia Igor Chaika the prospects for further interaction of Pridnestrovian businessmen with their Russian colleagues, the president's press service reports.
Business Russia members paid their first visit to Pridnestrovie a month ago. The first meeting was exploratory: the Russian businessmen assessed the potential of the Pridnestrovian economy and laid the groundwork for future business contacts. It was agreed then to organise a similar meeting in Russia and delegate a Pridnestrovian representative to Business Russia.
Today, Igor Chaika has arrived in Pridnestrovie again. Welcoming the Russian guest, Vadim Krasnoselsky underlined the mutual interest of the parties in intensifying business contacts.
The search for common ground, including through Business Russia, aims to revive economic relations with Russia, Krasnoselsky noted. The president focused on the 50% growth of Pridnestrovian exports to Russia.
"It is not our limit. We have a group of enterprises representing various industries — light, heavy and agriculture — and interested in the Russian market, and in which the Russian consumer also takes interest," said the president.
Igor Chaika told Vadim Krasnoselsky about the steps taken by the Russian side. Among them are measures aimed at increasing turnover, finding new contractors and preparing for the second stage of the business mission, which is set to be held in Russia.
"The Russian side will be represented by businessmen interested in various cooperation forms, including investment in Pridnestrovian enterprises, a search for contractors to supply Russian goods to Pridnestrovie, a search for colleagues interested in business partners who will promote promptly and honestly Pridnestrovian goods in the Russian market. All forms of cooperation will be discussed at this business forum,' noted Chaika.
The president stressed Pridnestrovie's interest in this kind of interaction, highlighting not only the importance of creating a business environment but also the importance of support related to the protection of the country's economic entities. Chaika underscored that one of the functions of Business Russia was to provide advice.
"We help people, first of all, to get their bearings and then, based on their potential, we'll help them to find the appropriate business partners,' said Chaika.
He confirmed that the interest of the Russian side had become even more pronounced and diversified after the first acquaintance with the capacity of the Pridnestrovian economy.
