Tiraspol, 6 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The German ambassador to Moldova, Ulrike Knotz, visited the Supreme Council and met its chairman, Alexander Shcherba. The meeting was also attended by the deputy head of the committee for foreign policy and international relations, Viktor Guzun, the Supreme Council's press service reports.
According to Guzun, the sides discussed the outcome of Germany's OSCE chairmanship. «We talked, in particular, about the Berlin protocol, which was signed by the participants, mediators and observers of the negotiation process in the '5+2' format. The German colleagues also wanted to know how we are going to work further with the new OSCE chairman-in-office, now the Austrian foreign minister," the press service quotes the MP as saying.
Viktor Guzun added that the Pridnestrovian side, in turn, was interested in solving the problems of concern to the citizens of the country. «Among them are the recognition by Moldova of documents issued by Pridnestrovian authorities and our licence plates, the freedom of movement of people and cargoes and many other issues that require a speedy resolution," said Guzun.
The sides also discussed issues of economic cooperation between Germany and Pridnestrovie.
