Expert: There are no 'orange sentiments' in Pridnestrovie

The idea of the Pridnestrovian state is very strong, believes Elena Bobkova, head of the independent centre for analytical research Novyi Vek

«The sociologists find there are no 'orange sentiments' in Pridnestrovie," said the director of the Novyi Vek centre, Elena Bobkova, PhD.

In the course of a round-table talk on Pridnestrovie's civil society organisations, the expert noted there is no ground for revolutionary processes in the republic.

«There are pressing issues, critical attitude and feeling, but the idea of the Pridnestrovian state is very strong," maintained Elena Bobkova.

It is recalled that a draft law providing for amendments to Pridnestrovie's NGO legislation is before the Supreme Council now. The law proposes, among other things, to enshrine the notions of «foreign agent» and «undesirable organisation» in Pridnestrovie's legal framework.
