Nina Shtanski: Blockade ring is closed

During the interview to the journalists of Zvezda TV channel, Pridnestrovie's Foreign Minister emphasized that the situation around Pridnestrovie has escalated dramatically.

«Blockade ring is closed, Ukraine blocks all our import. We cannot fully discharge all our social obligations. Ukraine also restricts freedom of movement for the Pridnestrovie's citizens having Russian passports," Nina Shtanski declared.

The minister emphasized, when during the first blockade of 2006 Ukraine had blocked only Pridnestrovie's export, then these days the restrictions also impacted the Ukrainian import. Nina Shtanski also told that Ukraine had deployed great military forces next to the Pridnestrovie's border, and this re-deployment continues.

«Concerning the issue that there are military groups at the Ukraine-Pridnestrovie border, so yes, they are really there, their amount increases, it is seen with a naked eye. Military units are located closely to the checkpoints, tent camps are fixed, and all this whips up tension," the head of the Pridnestrovie's foreign policy department noted.
