Need for healthcare reform becomes a must in Pridnestrovie

She pointed out that the need for healthcare funding had amounted to over 1 billion roubles, whereas actual funding had covered less than a half. To this end, the healthcare tariff policy has been reviewed this year.

The chairwoman of the government underscored it was the first time when tariffs were fixed at cost price. Last year the foreground tasks of the public health service were the adoption of new medical technologies and professional development of medical workers. The government procured ten electronic fluorograph and four up-to-date X-ray systems last year. Tatyana Turanskaya noted that «in the past three years the range of services provided by medical labs had increased in number by 45; a number of indicators, suggesting positive development in the industry, had been accomplished.»
