Economic anti-Russia sanctions affect Pridnestrovie as well

A number of the industrial enterprises have reduced their outputs, several of them have almost stopped working

The President Evgeny Shevchuk told it during the press-conference. He noted that the economic sanctions influenced the enterprises exporting their production to Russia first of all. “Everybody knows what happens to the national currency rate of the Russian Federation. Accordingly, our exporters suffered some losses in a number of transactions because the repayments were sheduled for the later time according to the contracts,” the Head of the state explained.

He also noted that there was a business activity drop in Pridnestrovie because of the unstable currency rate in Russia, Ukraine and Moldova. “The consequences will be clear after the next 3-4 months. A number of the industrial enterprises have already reduced their outputs, several of them have almost stopped working, and some have lost the market by 50%. Certainly, this will impact both the taxes and the employment level, etc.,” Evgeny Shevchuk added.

He also mentioned that the humanitarian projects of the ANO ‘Eurasian integration’ will be continued, and that they are expected to be successfully completed according to the earlier planned terms.
