The head of state informed the journalists of the results of his working visit to the Russian Federation
"Undoubtedly, the main issue was the Republic's socio-economic situation under new conditions when Pridnestrovie and the citizens are experiencing difficulties," said the President.
Besides, the agenda included issues relating to the enhancement of cooperation with Russia's dedicated ministries and agencies.
"You know there are memorandums signed by our countries, and now we are working out mechanisms aimed at solving the problems Pridnestrovian economic agents and citizens face. It is important to have a vital interconnection that would facilitate Pridnestrovie's socio-economic development. Russia is taking efforts to assist in enhancing trade and economic cooperation with Pridnestrovie," underscored the President.
Yevgeny Shevchuk also said that during a meeting with the leadership of the Archangelsk region the possibility of supplying Pridnestrovie's agricultural production to the region had been discussed.
"They are interested to purchase our agricultural products, and Pridnestrovie's ministries and agencies will work in this regard," said the President.
Sharing his impressions of the Navy Day celebrations, the head of state pointed out that he had witnessed the Russian Navy's build-up.
"The unique submarines, capable of carrying out complex operational missions, have been laid down. This suggests that in today's world with all its serious conflicts it is necessary to have the army and fleet to suppress an aggression. It is the first time since the Soviet Union collapsed when three submarines have been laid down at once, and I saw it. I saw the Russian Army and Navy strengthening," noted Yevgeny Shevchuk.
