Presidential scholarships have been awarded in Pridnestrovie since 2001. The PMR President has signed over two thousand certificates during this time. 108 students of additional and vocational education organizations have become holders of the state scholarship of the President of the PMR this year, as in the past. The ceremony of presenting their certificates is taking place in the small hall of the Palace of the Republic.
This year's scholarship holders include students of art schools, institutions of children's and youth creativity, sports schools (swimming, wrestling, table tennis), cadets of the Tiraspol Law Institute, students of the Pridnestrovian State University named after Shevchenko, the Pridnestrovian State Institute of Arts named after Rubinstein, the Bendery Higher Art College named after Postoykin, the Industrial College of Dubossary, Pridnestrovian College of Technology and Management, Pedagogical College (Bendery), Slobodzeya, Kamenka and Rybnitsa Polytechnic Colleges, Tiraspol College of Commerce, Agrarian and Technical College named after Frunze, Medical College named after Tarasevich, the capital's College of Computer Science and Law, Industrial Construction College, College of Power Engineering and Computer Technologies (Dnestrovsk), Olympic Reserve School. The scholarship amount varies from 388 rubles (40 minimum wages) to 902 rubles (93 minimum wages) depending on the category of recipients.
