Tiraspol, September 9. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Chairman of the Central Election Commission Elena Gorodetskaya announced the number of voters at the beginning of the campaign for the election of the head of state. The campaign will start on September 12.
The number of voters in the republic is 405,294 people who have the right to vote. As the Chairman of the Central Election Commission explained in an interview with reporters, these data are necessary to calculate the number of signatures in support of candidates for the presidency. According to the current legislation, they need to collect from 2% to 3% of signatures from the total number of voters. Elections will be held on December 12.
Two more votes will be held before the presidential elections in Pridnestrovie: on the election of deputies to the State Duma of Russia, Chairmen of Councils - heads of administrations of Doibany and Belochi villages of Dubossary and Rybnitsa Districts, respectively.
As already reported by Novosti Pridnestrovya, there will be 27 polling stations in the PMR at the September 19 elections to the lower house of the RF Legislative Assembly. You can vote at four of them (in the House of Officers and in the Palace of the Republic, as well as two of them intended exclusively for Russian military personnel and their family members) within three days - September 17-19.
For voters who, for one reason or another, will not be able to visit the polling stations, it is possible to vote at home, for which it is necessary to notify the relevant precinct election commissions. Currently, as Elena Gorodetskaya emphasized, online and live briefings are conducted for members of each PEC.
