Tiraspol, June 23. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The XXXII Olympiad will start in Tokyo one month later, on July 23. 339 sets of medals will be competed for during the main event of the four-year period. The first Pridnestrovian who received the individual right to participate in the XXXII Olympiad was the long-distance runner Lilia Fiskovich. The woman will play for the national team of Moldavia. She met the Olympic requirements at one of the most prestigious and massive marathons in the world, the London Marathon. Lilia Fiskovich covered the distance in 2 hours, 27 minutes and 26 seconds, thereby she updated the Moldavia`s record in the marathon.
Lilia Fiskovich is an international master of sports in track and field athletics. She is one of the top 10 European marathon runners among women. There is already one Olympics in the track and field athlete's career. In 2016, Lilia Fiskovich competed in Rio de Janeiro, where she became the 27th in the marathon.
Another Pridnestrovian athlete, Tatiana Salkutsan, will participate n the water track in Tokyo as part of the Moldavian national team. She received her individual Olympic license at the World Aquatics Championships in South Korea. There, the athlete performed at her star turn distance: 200 meters on her back.
In 2018, Tatiana Salkutsan won the Youth Olympic Games, which were held in Argentina. This case became the first in history when a trainee of Pridnestrovian sports reached the top spot of the Olympic podium among young men.
In 2020, the athlete topped the rating of swimmers, which was compiled by the Water Sports Federation of Moldavia. And a month ago, Tatiana Salkutsan updated Moldavia's record at a distance of 50 m on her back.
Rower from Tiraspol Vladislav Chebotar will also go to the Olympics; he will compete for the Russian national team.
