Moscow, April 8. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In an interview with IIA Russia Today, PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled how Moldova abandoned Pridnestrovie.
The Head of the Pridnestrovian state noted that, 30 years ago, the Moldovan Parliament adopted two significant documents: Sovereignty Declaration (June 23, 1990) and Declaration of Independence (August 27, 1991). These important state documents declared the formation of the Moldavian SSR illegal. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that the MSSR has been created in 1940 by the annexation of Bessarabia to Pridnestrovie (the Moldavian Autonomous SSR existed on this territory since 1924).
“In fact, Moldova rejected us in the main document on its statehood. We were not separatists, the separatism was displayed by the then Chisinau. Having voted for this document, they put an end to the history of a unified state formation called the MSSR,” the PMR President said.
