Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting with Alexander Brod, member of the Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky during his working visit to Moscow held meetings at the site of the Official Representation of Pridnestrovie. Today he talked with a member of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, Director of the Moscow Bureau for Human Rights, Alexander Brod. The discussion was attended by the PMR Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev and the Head of the PMR Official Representation in Moscow Leonid Manakov.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the current situation in Pridnestrovie and the processes taking place around the republic. Vadim Krasnoselsky drew attention to the stagnation of the dialogue with the Republic of Moldova, caused by Chisinau's refusal to fulfill its obligations within the framework of the negotiation process in a wide range of socio-economic and humanitarian areas. According to the Head of the Pridnestrovian state, the irresponsible behavior of the Moldovan side negatively affects the general atmosphere of relations, and the unilateral restrictive measures implemented by Chisinau against Pridnestrovie, including the announced plans of the Republic of Moldova to restrict freedom of movement and increase economic pressure, violate the rights and freedoms of citizens of Pridnestrovie. Vadim Krasnoselsky and Alexander Brod in this context discussed the parameters of bilateral interaction with emphasis on protecting the rights and interests of Russian citizens and compatriots living in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, having agreed to develop cooperation in this direction.

The PMR President emphasized the most important stabilizing role of the Russian Federation as a peacemaker and guarantor country in the negotiation process. He expressed gratitude to the Russian side for its support, including the expected provision of the Russian-made vaccine to the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, which is of particular importance for protecting the lives and health of people in the fight against the pandemic.

The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic at the end of the meeting invited Alexander Brod to visit Pridnestrovie.
