A large university renovation is underway. Forces and means are focused on the reconstruction of building "B" this year. The progress of internal work was inspected by the President. Vadim Krasnoselsky was accompanied by the Minister of Economic Development, the Head of the Tiraspol State Administration, the Rector of Pridnestrovian State University, representatives of construction and contracting organizations involved in it. Vadim Krasnoselsky was interested in whether the builders were meeting the agreed deadlines. The facility should be put into operation by September. The PMR President asked if all the equipment had been purchased to equip the IT Quantum digital education center. All equipment is available. It will take no more than three days to connect it. They wait for completion of construction work in the building. The center will start functioning from the 1st of September. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized the importance of creating conditions for the development of youth in the field of modern technologies. The President noted that it is important to make the center accessible not only for students, but for schoolchildren as well. Vadim Krasnoselsky was told that it was planned to launch four innovative sites. The initial stage is the school of robotics. The second is "Hi-tech shop". Next - "IT- quantum". The final educational course on the basis of the Pridnestrovian State University is the site of the digital education center - "IT-office". Such a structure will make it possible to cover groups of pupils, students and employees of various organizations of different age and level of preparedness, who will be able to engage in scientific and technical developments on the basis of the IT-quantum center.
The inspection team led by the President visited the campus. This is where the heating system needs to be replaced. It will be held this year. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that this must be done during the holidays. The next stage will be the improvement of the territory of the campus and the equipping of the sports sector. It is planned to equip a workout zone, install tennis tables and equip a volleyball and badminton court. A more serious sports infrastructure for students is being prepared at the city stadium, which is located within walking distance from the campus.
The participants in the course of the field meeting discussed further prospects for the reconstruction of the Pridnestrovian State University. The plans include to pay attention to the Faculty of Medicine building among other things. A relatively new facility also needs repair and construction work due to objective reasons.
