1067 Pridnestrovians are currently carriers of COVID-19 according to the information announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus. 294 of them are being treated in specialized hospitals. 170 hospital beds are occupied in the hospital of Slobodzeya at the moment, 32 in Rybnitsa, 17 in Dubossary, 54 in the city hospital of Bendery, and 3 in the coronavirus unit of the Republican Clinical Hospital. The hospital based on the psychiatric hospital in the village of Vykhvatintsy has been closed down. The workload of the hospital network as a whole is currently 51%. It is hard to tolerate coronavirus for 64 people, 22 are patients in intensive care units, and 1 patient is on a ventilator. 782 Pridnestrovians are being treated at home. 27 such patients needed hospitalization in the period from 21 to 27 March. The number of children infected with coronavirus is 26 (40 a week earlier).
4352 biomaterial samples of citizens suspected of having an infection were examined during the week (489343 during the entire time of the pandemic). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 845 cases. Average daily incidence is 121 (156 a week earlier). The decrease in the average daily incidence is observed for the seventh week in a row. 111621 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic in total. 2162 carriers of the virus or less than 2% of the sick died (seven deaths of the disease in a week), 108383 people or 97% of those infected coped with the disease (1161 recovered during the reporting week). 796 Pridnestrovians are in conditions of mandatory self-isolation.
539 Pridnestrovians completed a full course of vaccination during the reporting period. 143379 people, or 37.5% of the adult population, were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic in total.
21 groups in 19 preschool institutions are in quarantine.
