According to the information announced at the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 2558 Pridnestrovians are carriers of COVID-19 at the moment. 1371 of them are being treated in specialized hospitals. There are 208 hospital beds in the Slobodzeya hospital, 491 in two Tiraspol hospitals, 339 in the hospitals of Bendery, 67 in the hospital of Kamenka. 135 patients are currently being treated in the Rybnitsa and Dubossary infectious diseases hospitals, it was decided to close the excess hospital beds. The activity of the hospital on the basis of the Tirotex dispensary was suspended as unnecessary. Taking into account the reduction in bed capacity, the hospital network is loaded by 73%.
It is hard to tolerate coronavirus for 328 people or 24% of the total number of hospitalized at the moment citizens, 37 are patients in intensive care units, three are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. 1187 Pridnestrovians are being treated at home. Hospitalization was required for 146 such patients in the period from December 6 to December 12.

The decrease in the indicator has been observed for the seventh consecutive week. 80551 cases of COVID-19 infection in total were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic. 1858 carriers of the virus - 2.3% of cases - died (thirty-seven deaths of the disease in a week), 76135 people - 94.5% of those infected - coped with the disease (1801 recovered during the reporting week). 1363 Pridnestrovians are in obligatory self-isolation.
The number of children infected with coronavirus dropped to 70 people (79 cases of COVID-19 infection in minors were registered a week earlier). At the same time, the preventive mechanism continues to operate, when in case of illness of a student or pupil of a preschool institution, the class is transferred to a distance learning mode, and the kindergarten group is temporarily quarantined. 98 classrooms in 44 educational institutions are in quarantine at the moment as well as 31 groups in 25 kindergartens. The meeting raised the issue of the upcoming New Year's parties and school evenings. They are allowed, provided that the festive event involves the participation of a separate team - a class or a group. It is possible to invite presenters and animators if they have the results of PCR testing. The certificate is valid for three days. Representatives of this area of the service sector can visit children at home if available.
The Head of the Operational Headquarters Vitaly Neagu said that half of the employees of educational institutions had already been vaccinated. 124141 people, or 32.5% of the adult population, are vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic as for the vaccination campaign as a whole. 8794 Pridnestrovians were vaccinated. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that both vaccination and revaccination in Pridnestrovie are carried out on a voluntary basis, at the request of citizens. At the same time, the President instructed to organize a notification to the residents of the republic, for whom the time has come to repeat the vaccination course. Such citizens will be invited by telephone for revaccination and, having received consent, will be signed up for the vaccination.
