Tiraspol, November 15. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The inflation rate in Pridnestrovie reached 1.5% in October this year. It has amounted to more than 5.9% since the beginning of the year. This data is provided by the State Statistics Service of the PMR.
The largest contribution to the overall indicator, as before, was made by food inflation. Prices for such common foodstuffs as eggs (by 18.2%), vegetables (by 13%), potatoes (by 6.4%), pasta (by 2.3%) went up. On average, meat products rose in price by 3.7%.
In the non-food sector, fuel prices rose most noticeably in October (by 7.6%). As for the service sector, there has been an increase of 2-3% in prices for the services of laundry and photo studios, as well as educational institutions. The cost of liquefied gas increased by 1.7%.
Note that inflation rates in neighboring countries are currently higher than in Pridnestrovie. In Moldova, the consolidated consumer price index has reached 8.3% since the beginning of this year, and in Ukraine - 8.5%.
