According to the information announced at the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, there are 5005 Pridnestrovians carrying COVID-19 at the moment. 2174 of them are being treated in specialized hospitals. There are 10 hospitals deployed in the republic, designed for 2322 patients. There are 287 hospital beds in the hospital of Slobodzeya, the Rybnitsa hospital – 323, the Dubossary hospital – 244, the hospital in Bendery based on the city hospital – 233, on the basis of the mother and child center in Bendery – 148, the Tiraspol hospital on the basis of the Republican Clinical Hospital – 421, on the basis of the hospital for invalids – 179, on the basis of the dispensary "Tirotex" – 232, in the hospital of Kamenka – 80. There are 27 patients in the specialized department of isolated stay and treatment of infected wards of the psychiatric hospital in the village of Vykhvatintsy, Rybnitsa district. An infectious disease ward has been formed on the basis of the Penitentiary Institution-3, in which 87 people are treated.
The total workload of the Pridnestrovian hospital network is 93.6%. 436 people or 20% of the total number of hospitalized at the moment citizens are hard to tolerate coronavirus, 59 are patients in intensive care units, eight patients are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. 2744 Pridnestrovians are being treated at home. 269 such patients needed hospitalization from the 25th to 31st of October. The number of children infected with coronavirus (5% of active carriers of the virus) has increased to 110 people.
10132 samples of the biomaterial of citizens with suspected infection were examined during the week (325612during the entire time of the pandemic). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 3032 cases. The average daily incidence is 433 (a week earlier – 457). In total, 68090 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic. 1532 carriers of the virus – 2.2% of cases – died (fifty-six deaths during the week), 61533 people – 90% of those infected – coped with the disease (during the reporting week, 2687 recovered). 3422 Pridnestrovians are in mandatory self-isolation.
153 classrooms in 52 educational institutions, as well as 36 groups in 35 kindergartens, were quarantined in the republic from the 25th to 31st of October.
2589 Pridnestrovians underwent a full course of vaccination during the reporting period. In total, 111184 people, or 29% of the adult population, have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic.
