According to the information announced at the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 681 Pridnestrovians are carriers of COVID-19 at the moment. 219 of them are being treated at home, 462 – in three infectious diseases hospitals, the total workload of which is 92% (280 hospital beds are occupied in Slobozeya (93%), 137 – in Rybnitsa (91%), in Bendery - 45 (90%). Due to the deteriorating state of health, 47 carriers of the virus were transferred from home to hospital treatment in the period from the 6th to the 12th of September. 77 people are hard to tolerate the coronavirus or 17% of the total number of citizens hospitalized at the moment. 17 are patients in intensive care units, four are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. 219 Pridnestrovians are in self-isolation at home.
3887 samples of biomaterial of citizens with suspected infection were examined during the week (for the entire time of the pandemic 269983). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 575 cases. The average daily incidence is 82 cases (a week earlier - 54). In total, 53066 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic. 1289 carriers of the virus – 2.4% of cases – died (seven deaths during the week). 51096 people – 96% of those infected – coped with the disease (369 recovered during the reporting week).
2489 Pridnestrovians completed a full course of vaccination during the week. In total, 95176 people, or 24.9% of the adult population, were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic.
